Harry Guinness

About

I'm Harry Guinness, a freelance writer and photographer from Dublin, Ireland.

Over the past decade-plus, I've written well north of a thousand articles for consumer publications like The New York Times, Wired, Popular Science, The Irish Times, Popular Photography, Inc., and Outside. I've also worked with tech companies like Zapier and Jotform, and industry publications like LeadDev.

I've filed copy from tropical islands in South East Asia, sailboats in the Mediterranean, trans-continental trains in the USA, and mountain tops — when there's cell signal. These days I'm mostly based in Dublin, where I write about technology, AI, productivity, culture, science, and the awkward places they all collide.

Photography-wise, things are looser. I'm a better writer than most photographers and a better photographer than most writers, which naturally means I've written a lot about photography over the years. I love the meditative side of photography: early morning landscape trips or just wandering a new city camera in hand. My photos have been published on hundreds of sites, mostly without my permission.

Working with me

I'm always happy to talk commissioned articles, content marketing, and anything else that aligns with my skills and interests. If you're an editor or tech company looking for a reliable writer who delivers on deadline, get in touch.
